Cutting up old prints and plates is very satisfying.

Laid out, the pieces have conversations, recognising agreement or not between shapes is key.

Collage, for me, is an extension of drawing, really. I have ideas all the time, and collage full fills a need to balance leftover shapes and colours.

These can take different forms as wall pieces, or sometimes I work directly on the print.

Finding a balance to the recycling of old pieces involves time and effort, and maybe some discordant voices as well.
